We are getting excited for our next round of visitors. My folks arrive on Friday and then my brother, sister in law and their son arrive two days later. Our house is going to be full and entertaining!

The blueberries are everywhere! I love this berry and have been picking it almost exclusively:

Those berries look like bakeapples from NL. Are they bitter or sweet? I've looked around here but haven't found blueberries yet. Lots of raspberries. I think the boys and I are going to see if we can find some today. Colby started school today and is out at 12. Can't wait to hear his stories!
They are bakeapples! Well that is what everyone from NL calls them here! They are pretty tasty!
Sweet! I wonder if there are any of them around here? I bet you find them in swampy areas, do you? What do you do with all your jam?

I do find them in swampy areas! I go home with wet feet after every berry picking trip. I actually give away all of my jam! I don't eat jam very often, so I make it as gifts for friends and family. Last year I mixed all of the berries together that I had, made jam out of it, and called in Nunavut Jam!
In norway those berries are called multiber (multa-bear), and lots of people around here call them cloudberries.... just some random info :)
